Day 1: Marrakech – Essaouira
Pick up in Marrakech at your Riad/Hotel and enjoy the Atlantic Coast Desert Tour. Visit the UNESCO-protected city of Essaouria, reflecting the Portuguese character of settlers from the 16th century. Furthermore the enormous fortress of white-washed, blue-shuttered houses (built at sea-level) is famous for its fine handcrafts. Overnight and dinner in the hotel.
Day 2: Essaouira – Agadir
You leave the old city of Essaouira, and travel to towards Agadir, passing by plantations of Argan trees climbed by local goats. Then enjoy other scenic landscapes as you continue along the Atlantic coast. Arrive in Agadir late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 3: Agadir – Aglou – Mirelft – Legzira Beach
After breakfast, you will start from Agadir towards Tiznit for a visit to the Silver city. Later, drive along the coast to reach Aglou beach afterwards, towards Mirleft where you will enjoy a lunch meal and relax before transferring to your hotel in Legzira beach.
Day 4: Legzira Beach – Tafraoute – Taroudannt
You start your day trip towards a town known as Taroudannt. You will take new trails through the foothills of the Anti Atlas where small oases and Berber villages are surrounded by a landscape of desert mountains. Then you will reach the fullness arriving in the evening Tafraoute village located 1,200m above sea level, amid a circus of huge blocks of pink granite ablaze at sunset in beautiful shades of pink, ocher and purple. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 5: Taroudannt – Tazenakht – Foum-Zguid – Erg Chigaga
After your breakfast, you will start towards the big dunes of Erg Chigaga. Along the way we will visit Taliouine berber villages. You will take off-road to the sand dunes of Erg Chigaga desert where the landscape is awe-inspiring. Interspersed with an oasis for relaxation, at arrival at the big dunes, you will saddle on your camel and embark on your journey to your camp site for the night.
Day 6: Erg Chigaga – M’hamid – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
After enjoying the fresh morning breeze and sunrise upon the Chigaga dunes. Then travel towards Zagora with a stop in M’hamid for a cup of tea. Then, we reach a nice historical village named Tamgroute for the visit of a nice underground kasbah and also a Koran library. After 30km, you will arrive at Zagora for lunch break. You continue your exploration towards Ouarzazate with nice stops in the longest valley of Morocco, named Draa valley with thick palm trees groves, lot of kasbahs and traditional old houses. You reach Ouarzazate as being the hollywood of Morocco. Dinner and night in a hotel.
Day 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Transfer towards Marrakech after breakfast via Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, one of Morocco’s most spectacular. Fortified villages that was a passage for caravan traders through the Atlas Mountains, and Berber villages. Lunch is enjoyed in the mountains. Arrival in Marrakech by late evening.
6 Days: Rabat – Casablanca – El-Jadida – Essaouira – Agadir – Tafraoute – Tata – Chigaga Dune – M’hamid – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech – Atlantic coast desert tour –
Day 1: Rabat – Casablanca – El-Jadida
In the morning, explore the capital city of Rabat. You can wander around the city with the driver to the Hassan Tower and Mohammed V Mausoleum, Chellah Gardens and Necropolis, as well as the Oudayas Kasbah which overlooks into the Atlantic Ocean( Atlantic coast desert tours). Then travel to Casablanca where you can visit the Hassan II Mosque, Habbous quarter, and the art deco buildings in the center of the city. Overnight in El-Jadida.
Day 2: El-Jadida – Safi – Essaouira
After your breakfast, travel by road via the Atlantic Coast to the UNESCO heritage city. Essaouira (also known to an old Portuguese city “Mogador”) with many stops along the way. You reach the city after three hours drive. Lunch is enjoyed in a nice seafood restaurant. Enjoy a 2-hour walk in the old medina of Essaouira and the surrounding harbour area along the Atlantic Coast. Overnight in Essaouira.
Day 3: Essaouira – Agadir – Tafraoute(Atlantic coast desert tours)
After the first meal of the day (breakfast), you leave for the old city Mogador and make your way to Aglou beach for relaxation and lunch there. Then continue towards Agadir passing the Argan trees climbed by local goats and other picturesque landscapes along the Atlantic Coast. Next you will take new trails through the foothills of the Anti Atlas where small oases. Then Berber villages are surrounded by landscapes of desert mountains. You will arrive in the evening at Tafraoute village located 1200 m above sea level, amidst a circus of huge blocks of pink granite ablaze at sunset in beautiful shades of pink, ocher and purple.
Day 4: Tafraoute – Tata – Erg Chigaga
An early morning start to the desert. You will travel along the valley of Ait Mensour with millions of palm trees; the landscape gradually becomes dry and the green disappears. Then you begin a descent towards Tata, the landscape is awe-inspiring. Interspersed with an oasis for relaxation, at arrival at the big dunes, then you will saddle on your camel and embark on your desert tour to your camp site for the night.
Day 5: Chigaga – Mhamid – Zagora – Ouarzazate
After enjoying the fresh morning breeze and sunrise upon the Chigaga dunes, you enjoy your breakfast. Travel towards Zagora with a stop in M’hamid for a cup of tea.
